Zaeskee Alazae (Albert Whitehead) is an American recording artist, producer, songwriter, audio engineer, entrepreneur, and the creator of Comic Soul—a genre-defining fusion of Alternative R&B, Hip-Hop, Afro Pop, and gospel-inspired soul. Born and raised on Chicago’s West Side, Zaeskee has spent more than two decades building a career rooted in authenticity, innovation, and independent artistry.

Beginning his production career in 1999, Zaeskee developed his sound through gospel, soul, and hip-hop influences before expanding into music production, songwriting, engineering, and artist development. His diverse musical background has enabled him to create a distinctive style that blends melodic storytelling with modern production while remaining true to his Chicago roots.

Throughout his career, Zaeskee has collaborated with respected artists and industry figures including Do Or Die, Crucial Conflict, Never, Mike Dean, Gotti, Big IL, ReUp Ty, Dawerido, Keshia Kash, Ryan Alexander, Sisi Dior, Ayoo KD, Skiter Weez, TroubleNDaFlesh, Aaron Smith, Indiblu, and other emerging artists. He also played an important role in the early development of Lupe Fiasco’s career by helping establish key industry relationships during Lupe’s formative years.

As the founder of Beat Accountants, Zaeskee has created a creative platform dedicated to music production, artist development, songwriting, engineering, and marketing, helping independent artists build sustainable careers while maintaining ownership of their creative vision.

His 2022 album Belly Gang introduced audiences to the Comic Soul movement and produced the independent hit “Big Boy Luv,” which reached No. 1 on the Digital Radio Tracker Global Top 150 Independent Airplay Chart. The success of the project established Zaeskee as a growing force in independent music.

Building on that momentum, Zaeskee launched Belly Gang 2, an innovative collective music campaign featuring collaborations with artists from across the hip-hop and R&B landscape. Rather than following a traditional album rollout, the project releases a new single on the 4th day of every month throughout the year, creating an evolving body of work that highlights collaboration, consistency, and artistic growth.

Recent releases include “U Wanna Argue,” “Snatch Ya Soul,” “Best Friend,” “Drug Addic PT 2,” “BODY,” “GHETTO LIFE,” “SHOOT IT LIKE STEPH,” “Tombstone,” and “CAP IN YA RAP,” further expanding the Comic Soul catalog and the Belly Gang movement.

As a live performer, Zaeskee has shared event lineups with nationally recognized hip-hop artists. In 2023, he was promoted in connection with the Turn Up Jam concert at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, alongside artists including Jeezy, Boosie Badazz, Big Boogie, and other notable performers. The appearance marked another milestone in his independent music journey, bringing his Comic Soul sound to audiences at one of Kentucky’s premier entertainment venues.

In 2026, Zaeskee reached another significant career milestone by joining the Recording Academy’s 2026 New Member Class, recognizing his accomplishments as an independent recording artist, producer, songwriter, and audio engineer. As a Recording Academy member, he looks forward to supporting fellow music creators, advocating for independent artists, and contributing to the future of the music industry.
